Week 3 covered several advanced topics, with an emphasis on reusable components. Day 15 started things off with an in-depth look at customizing the IntraBuilder Designer. Debugging and exception handling took center stage on Day 16. The next four days focused on reusable components. Day 17 described the reusable components that come with the business solution applications. On Day 18, you learned how to integrate Java applets and ActiveX controls into your JavaScript forms. Day 19 took reusability to the operating system level with examples of OLE automation, remote procedure calls, and using the Windows API. Object orientation is the key behind reusability in IntraBuilder applications. Day 20 provided a tour through the dynamic object model. The week ended with a day devoted to the SQL connectivity features found in the IntraBuilder Professional and IntraBuilder Client/Server.
